Placemaking: The Intersection of People, Plants, & Gardens
Vaccination Requirement
In keeping with the Association's duty to care and responsibility, the Association leadership has decided that all participants at the 2022 Placemaking Symposium in North Carolina, whether a presenter, attendee, exhibitor, staff, guest, or vendor will be required to be fully vaccinated. "Full vaccination" means that either 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose of FDA or WHO authorized (or emergency use authorized) double-dosed vaccines or single-dose vaccine. Proof of vaccination will be required to attend.
Attendees will be required to provide CDC-or WHO-approved proof of vaccination status through a third-party system prior to attending the symposium in Chapel Hill. For those individuals who are not vaccinated, you will be required to provide documentation of medical or religious exemption.
If you are unable to meet this requirement, we encourage you to join us at future symposiums or register for our Virtual2022 Annual Conference offering in June.
All participants at the 2022 Placemaking Symposium will be required to wear masks during the event, per current North Carolina State requirements. Masks must be worn at all times except while actively eating/drinking, presenting, or in an outdoor venue where individuals can be physically distanced. Masks must cover both the mouth and nose. We ask that participants honor the requests of others to mask up and/or maintain physical distancing.
Individuals who have a documented disability which precludes the wearing of a mask may request a modification to mask policies. Please contact Lauren Garcia Chance to discuss modification(s) to mask policies.
These policies may be revised or amended at any time before or during the symposium to comply with Federal and/or local/State requirements.
