Education Community Town Hall

Partnerships help expand our organization’s reach and perspective, and can bring new audiences to our education programs. Join fellow educators to discuss different partnership models and then value they can bring to our gardens. Two of our colleagues will share their partnership experiences and then we will follow group discussion. Tune in also to hear updates on the annual conference, 2023 Education Symposium, and more. Presenters: Brit Patterson-Weber from Naples Botanical Garden will discuss their “Garden for All” program started in 2019 as a free membership access program to low-income families identified through United Way and partnering organizations. Find out how this comprehensive outreach effort to meet local demands and changes, allows Garden for All to grow in a fluid, nimble format and how its concept has become a core value of our organization. David Michaud will discuss North Carolina Botanical Garden’s, a department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, partnership with several organizations to expand the reach of its educational offerings. Hear about these collaborative efforts and considerations that go into maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships with other university departments and mission-aligned community and non-profit organizations.
